Stubborn Grace: The Ethical Courage to Lead Gently, Speak Boldly, and Choose with Integrity
A triple-negative breast cancer survivor, board-certified health and wellness coach, and creator of the Stubborn Graceseries, Lena brings together lived experience, science-based resilience practices, and trauma-informed care to support individuals navigating adversity. Through her work as a coach, speaker, health educator, and board member of the Donna Foundation, she mentors caregivers, supports survivors, and helps individuals rediscover dignity, agency, and steadiness in the face of challenge.
Lena’s approach to ethical leadership is quiet but powerful. She teaches that resilience is not about pushing harder or performing strength, but about choosing presence, compassion, and grounded humanity when circumstances feel overwhelming. Her work integrates breath, nervous-system awareness, and reflective practices to help people reconnect with themselves and with others.
From supporting mothers of children with complex care needs to working with cancer survivors and health communities, Lena’s leadership consistently centres three core values: access, agency, and dignity. Through initiatives such as Stubborn Grace and her work with health organisations and nonprofits, she has helped thousands of individuals find steadiness and hope in moments of deep uncertainty.
Lena’s story reminds us that ethical courage is not always loud. Sometimes it appears as steady presence, compassionate leadership, and the choice to stand beside others in their most vulnerable moments.
